side to side or up and down?

I was just admiring Zhenia's lovely little birds-on-a wire ATC when it suddenly dawned on me that I don't make horizontal/or landscape ATCs, like, ever.

I am a strict up and down, oriented in the portrait way, vertical kind of gal. I don't know why, but it's the way I always visualize a card. Maybe I'll be stuck there forever!

What are your preferences, if any?

  • I don't really have a preference. If the card needs to be portrait, I make it portrait. If it needs to be landscape, then it's landscape...although, when I think about it, most of the sketches I make are landscape. It's just better suited for the types of things I'm making at the moment.

  • I'm a vertical kind of a gal too! I think one of the reasons I do it that way is because I store my ATCs in the 9 pocket pages and they view better than way. I don't think I've ever made a horizontal one either!!!

  • I have made more vertical cards than horizontal, I think because I store mine in the sleeves that Judi mentioned, so it keeps me thinking that way. But, I enjoy making and receiving horizontal cards as well!

  • In your honour, I made a vertical card this afternoon. It felt wrong. I kept wanting to turn the card on its side. Once it's dry, I'll scan and post it.
